Bio: 

Dr. André Romano Alho is a Research Scientist at SMART (Singapore). He is passionate about applied research in Urban Freight and City Logistics, with particular interest in Supply Chains and Transportation. André’s work has led to new insights in the field of Urban Freight Operations, which have been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at multiple international conferences on this topic. He is currently contributing to SimMobility and SimMobility Freight model framework design and model development. Applications include case-studies in the scope of Singapore’s “Urban Freight and Heavy Vehicle Study”. Prior to joining SMART, André completed his PhD degree in Transportation Systems from Instituto Superior Técnico / MIT Portugal program.
